Day 34 Nashville- Country Music Capital

With the end of our time in Knoxville, and the need to fly on to the last bit of our 7 week adventure, we headed to Nashville for the night. Initially we planned to drive up to Nashville the morning of our flight and head straight to the airport, but after little convincing (it didn’t take much really) from Uncle Max, we headed there a day early. And are we glad we did!!

Firstly, we must say a huge thank you to Uncle Max who drove us from Knoxville to Nashville (3-4 hr drive!) and spent time showing us all the sights.

After relaxing in the hotel for a little while, we headed to the main strip in Nashville in which all the bars and such have live country music. We enjoyed hopping between them all (and each of their levels) and listening to the different artists and their styles. It is true when they say this is where all country music stars come to make it. There was so many performers (one for each level of each bar-which could have up to 3 levels!) of such high standard. After dinner and viewing a few more bands, we headed back to the hotel where mum was luckily enough to meet the king himself, Mr Elvis Presley (note: I strongly discouraged her to take this photo but she insisted)
